Why That Comeback Win At Bournemouth Felt SO Sweet!

We had that special last minute winning moment cruelly snatched away from us by VAR on Wednesday against Sporting, but we got to enjoy it in all its glory against Bournemouth on Sunday, as Bentancur capped off a magnificent comeback victory at the Vitality Stadium.
3-2 the final result, a crucial win, and a big 3 points. It prevented a third consecutive loss in the league, and will have boosted morale around the camp in preparation for that important last Champions League group game in Marseille on Tuesday, where we now need a point to progress to the knockout stages.
It also makes all of our Monday mornings that little bit easier, as we'll avoid the inevitable torrent of abuse we'd have received from rival supporters had we lost to, let's be honest, a second-rate side in Bournemouth.
The win means we remain in 3rd place, not allowing Newcastle to leapfrog us, and creating a bit of breathing space from other chasers Chelsea and Man United.
Another pleasing aspect was the resilience and belief Spurs displayed to come from two behind. Many would have assumed the game was gone, 'the best we can hope for from here is a draw.' But no, as soon as Sessegnon slid that first goal in off the far post, you could tell our lads and the travelling support knew we could still take all 3 points back home to North London.
Other positives that stood out for me were Ben Davies' roaring and fist clenching towards the Spurs support after his well-taken headed equaliser. It demonstrated the passion for the cause from a player who's gone from years on the fringes at Spurs to a fan favourite starter. It's clear he's one that gives his all for the badge.

Likewise, our South Korean star Sonny, and his child-like star jumping celebration in front of our fans when his in-swinging corner led to the all important winner.
Finally, in this most satisfying player reactions segment, was Bentancur's elation on seeing his coolly placed finish glide over a cluster of Bournemouth bodies and nestle into the top of the net. The thrill on his face, the overwhelming excitement that caused him to run the complete opposite way to the Spurs section and celebrate in front of the gutted Bournemouth support.

Other honourable mentions include Sessegnon, who netted his second goal of the season to kick-off the comeback, a goal that will do his confidence the world of good, and Højbjerg, who threaded a peach of a pass through to the left wing-back to make it four assists in all competitions. Not bad for our ever-present Dane, who has been criticised in the past for his lack of goal involvements.
All in all, the joyous celebrations demonstrated the strength of character and camaraderie amongst the squad at the moment, and it got Conte smiling again too. The Italian was seen laughing in his press conference when questioned as to why he marched straight off down the tunnel on seeing the third goal hit the back of the net. He explained how he went away to stay calm and wait for the referee's decision, as he could have had a heart attack if this one had been disallowed like the one in midweek was.

What did you think of it all? Were you screaming like a little girl in your living room on seeing that winner go in? Or were you one of the few lucky enough to be there at the ground?
