Spurs Spring Back from Woeful First Half to Turn it From 2-0 to 2-3!

Conte shook up the starting side somewhat and it lead to a backline of Royal, Sánchez, Lenglet, Davies and Sessegnon, which looked to be lacking in leadership.

Skipp and Bissouma came into a midfield 3 as well, alongside the ever-present Højbjerg.

We lacked confidence and urgency and Bournemouth clearly sensed it, as they began creating chances and eventually came up with 2 well taken, but poorly defended goals.

Something had to change at the break and it did. Not the sub many fans would have wanted though, as Moura came on for Skipp, when many would have liked to have seen Gil after his impressive showing in midweek.

As has been the case on too many occasions this season, Spurs only got going after the break.

Højbjerg threaded a ball through that Sessegnon raced onto and slotted across goal sending it in off the post. Spurs back in it.

Perišić, Bentancur and Dier were all introduced with half an hour to go, and not long after, Davies nodded in a corner at the far post. Roaring in celebration toward the travelling support.

Spurs had the belief they could win it now and pressed and pressed but just couldn't find that third goal.

Then from yet another corner, Bentancur had an effort blocked that fell back into his path and he coolly side-footed it above the bodies before him and into the top of the net.

Pandemonium for Spurs and no way for VAR to rule it out this time.

Bentancur deserves so much credit, he's been giving it his absolute all for us of late and has bagged a couple of crucial goals in the process. What a player.

An important win, made all the sweeter with Chelsea getting spanked 4-1 by Brighton. We remain in third place, and head to Marseille to try and progress to the knockout stage of the Champions League on Tuesday.
